World Association of Economists

The World Economists Association has granted membership to Mashroo3k Economic Consulting, as part of its primary cooperation to bring together economists from around the world within a unified association that will enhance their efforts.

About the World Association of Economists

The World Economists Association was launched in 2011 as an inclusive and pluralistic international professional association. The association provides economists and those interested in economics with a space to exchange expertise and promote a diversity of approaches to economic analysis. The World Economists Association strives to disseminate economic research and highlight the social nature of economics by striving to achieve the values of pluralism, the dissemination of knowledge, and diversity of thought, belief, and method. The association encourages critical thinking, the development of new ideas, empirical rigor, and higher standards of scholarship.

Objectives of the World Economists Association

The World Economists Association seeks to increase the relevance, breadth, and depth of economic thought. This is achieved by exchanging diverse economic perspectives, expanding the range of human activities and issues within the broad scope of economics, and studying the diverse economies of the world. The World Economists Association seeks to set standards for the advancement of elites and to link levels of professional competence to economics, in order to better serve society in the future. It also seeks to enhance economics’ engagement with the real world in order to address, explain, and make economic phenomena tractable. Both the membership and governance of the Association are specifically designed to embrace all forms of diversity within its membership. The Association intends that all publication, discussion, and meeting processes be transparent and open to input from all its members. To this end, the Association will operate online using digital technologies wherever possible, including online conferences and virtual publishing. The Association recognizes the valuable contributions to economic thought made by scholars and thinkers outside the mainstream of economics. The WEA will encourage these individuals to become members and add their insights to our collective learning. The Association will establish a committee to develop a code of ethics, striving to promote ethical conduct. The Association will be democratically structured to prevent the dominance of global democracy by any one country or continent. The World Economists Association believes that these commitments, when jointly adhered to by its members, will increase the importance, breadth, and depth of economic thought, making the economics profession and its related professions better equipped to serve humanity in the future.
