The International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA)

The International Chinese Statistical Association (ICSA) aims to promote statistical disciplines through its scientific activities as a non-profit charitable organization.

About the China International Statistical Association

In the early 1970s, a group of Chinese statisticians met and began to establish the Chinese International Statistical Association, later known as the Chinese Statistics Association. The need for a formal organization to perform statistical functions and coordinate activities among all Chinese statisticians and statistical scholars led to the establishment of the Chinese International Statistical Association at a conference held in Chicago in 1986. The same meeting also decided to establish an internal statistical journal to serve the association’s members. A committee was formed in 1987 to propose a draft constitution and bylaws to support the association in achieving its goals.
