The Social Fund for Development (SFD) works to support small and medium-sized enterprise owners through an important unit called the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Unit. This unit is the Fund’s executive arm, responsible for directing its services and delivering its products to target groups.
The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Unit:
The unit provides diverse and sustainable financial services in most rural and urban areas of Yemen, aiming to support and enhance the role of small and medium-sized enterprise owners in the Yemeni national economy.
In cooperation with its partners, the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Unit provides a variety of services, including financial and non-financial:
Financing small and micro enterprises (long-term loans).
Financing business development services.
Institutional capacity building.
Finding external markets for project-specific products.
Providing the necessary consulting for small business development.
